"In My Home Island-"

"In my home island people have to drink and use the water that comes from the same place as their sewage waste goes in. The place is mosquito infested and when it rains the whole bloody island is flooded. You cannot get a simple x-Ray done without having to fly to Malé. You cannot get a loan big enough to even build one bedroom in your house. Nowhere for the rubbish to go. Simple basic infrastructure is not asking for a lot.

We have to pay arm and a leg to study and when that's over we have to come back home to the reality of living in Malé and pay arm and a leg to rent or go home and do nothing. 50,000 rf as a down payment for a 2 bedroom unfurnished apartment! No laws to protect tenants from being ripped off! I'm not exaggerating! It's the truth! Is it really fair? I could go on and on... We do not hate people from Malè! We hate the system! We want equality, basic rights. Not fancy bridges, new islands, fancy stadiums and new Malés around Malé. The rich are getting richer and the underprivileged are getting ripped off and sucked dry!"
